Welcome to our new site!
This new site has been redesigned with lots of new and cool features! Please take a look around and we hope you enjoy all the new stuff! There is lots more soon to come!

***** 2000-DEC-17 *****
Our 2000 Winter League trap shoots will begin on December 17th 2000 and we will shoot 50 birds every other Sunday. All shooters must sign up to shoot by 12:00 noon. You can shoot as many rounds as you need to as long as you have signed up by 12:00 noon and can finish by 2:00pm.
We finally raised enough money through donations to purchase our new voice activated units for our trap machine. This should help stop any fast or slow pulls.
In September 1999 we installed a GMV Super Star automatic trap machine. The new trap cost the club $7300.00. In the long run the new trap will save us money by not having a trap person. We have mounted a plaque in the club house with names of people that have donated toward the cost of this new trap. If you would like to have your name displayed on this plaque please send any donation to the club address and it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!!
We would like to thank Tim and his employees at Jefferson Concrete for the great job of making and delivering our new prefab trap house. If anyone is interested on what it looks like go to our club pictures. It is a state of the art trap house.
11/7/2000 We just had our 2nd pre-fab Trap House delivered. We are hoping to have it ready to use with-in the next week or so. I Would like to thank everyone that has been coming over to help prepare for this trap house. Someone is there just about everyday if anyone would like to stop over and give a hand please give us a call at 785-8947 . Every little bit helps.

Gun Safety

Always follow the ten commandments of shooting safety

  1. Control the direction of your firearm's muzzle. Carry your firearm safely, keeping the safety on until ready to shoot. Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
  2. Identify your target and what is beyond it. Know the identifying features of the game you hunt.
  3. Treat every firearm with the same respect due a loaded firearm.
  4. Be sure the barrel and action are clean of obstructions and that you have only ammunition of the proper size for the firearm you are carrying.
  5. Unload firearms when not in use. Leave actions open. Firearms should be carried empty, in cases, to and from shooting areas.
  6. Never point a firearm at anything you do not want to shoot. Avoid all horseplay with a firearm.
  7. Never climb a fence or tree, or jump a ditch or log, with a loaded firearm. Never pull a firearm toward you by the muzzle.
  8. Never shoot a bullet at a flat, hard surface or water. During target practice, be sure your backstop is adequate.
  9. Store firearms and ammunition separately beyond the reach of children and careless adults.
  10. Avoid alcoholic beverages or other mood altering drugs before or while shooting.

Prevention is the solution to hunting casualties.
Every hunting accident that has occurred could have been prevented.
Most hunting accidents happen as a result of people ignoring firearms safety rules.
Prevention involves knowing and obeying those basic safety rules.
